Brand identity for Bela Vista, an Australian cedar reforestation and cloning farm.
Bela Vista Florestal is a company born with a focus on both forest seedling production, and investing in self-owned plantations (Eucalyptus and Australian Cedar). By the time of the project, it managed projects totaling over 7,000 hectares of forests.
The main focus of Bela Vista Florestal’s research process is the genetic improvement and cloning of the Australian cedar, a unique project in the world that has produced significant results over the years.
This editorial design’s challenge was to make tangible an investment in a future asset: the cedar forests, a noble and scarce raw material. The references for the brand’s iconography were the cloned cedar trees’ aesthetic features – slender trees with accumulated foliage on top.
The business’ modus operandi inspired the design of an identity that, even in its chromatic palette and composition, presents reforestation as a long-term asset with high return potential.
