Brand identity for Estufa Label, Inhotim’s Design Studio operating from inside Hardy Design.
Using a multidisciplinary approach, Estufa’s brand identity results from the interaction of design, botany and chemistry. Inspired by the decisive role played by Inhotim’s gardens in the experience of visiting its galleries and outdoor artworks, Hardy’s team went searching for the essence of the colors of its most characteristic botanical species.
The sample of plants underwent an experiment called Thin-Layer Chromatography, which revealed the plants’ many colors and dyes, in unique chromatic scales specific to each species. The color spots obtained in this process served as the starting point to design a brand with an organic graphic behavior that expands and adapts according to the media in which it is being used.
