More than a wayfinding project, or a mere development of its brand identity, the environmental graphics conveyed Fundação Torino’s institutional positioning to the school grounds.
With an understanding that Fundação Torino school’s environment is essentially dynamic, and that each stage in the school career has its own themes and projects, the environmental design for the institution’s classrooms and corridors stems from a place of modularity between students, teachers, contents, basis, and materials for each class’s experiences and activities.
The DIY projects’ inspiration led to the choice of perforated modular panels combined with different structures – easily found in school supply or DIY stores – which can be adapted to the multiple structural system attached to the walls. This way, a base was created for a flexible signage, which is put up according to the demands of each school stage, while also allowing for the students’ projects to be freely spread over the halls, and maintaining an organized structure that easily adapts itself to any didactic or material format to be exhibited.
