Inhotim’s 2016 National Science and Technology Week

Brand identity for Inhotim Institute’s 2016 National Science and Technology Week program.

A Semana Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia, coordenada pelo Ministério da Ciência, TecnolCoordinated by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Communications, the National Science and Technology Week aims to bring the population closer to these themes in an accessible manner, through actions of scientific dissemination. In 2016, the Week’s theme was “Science feeding Brazil”.

In the programming promoted by Inhotim, one of the featured issues was unconventional food plants, known in portuguese by the acronym PANC. So, the event’s brand identity was based on specimens of these plants that can be found in Inhotim.

For the project, a vivid, exuberant, and versatile print was designed, in a language that speaks to the public of the event, composed of elementary and high school students. The color palette embodies the greenness of Inhotim’s identity, and expands into food-reminiscent colors, while making vast use of white in order to bring closer the language of scientific research.
